We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves

We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves - Karen Joy Fowler I enjoyed reading this novel while I was reading it, but in retrospect, I thought about the storyline again and some parts just didn't seem right to me...

One thing were Rosie's parents, who didn't give a damn about what the implications for their own "human daughter's" development would be, if they let her grow up together with her monkey sister Fern. I adore the idea, and I also think the Story is really cute and well-written (particularly all the fun kids' stuff the two sisters do together), but according to Rosie's development at an older age, this early Phase in her life had enormous Impacts on her, which seemingly nobody cared about at all...???

I liked the whole plot and also the fast twists and changes the whole Story made, but for me there were just too many inconsistencies to rate it very good or good...
