Russisches Tattoo (dtv premium)

Russisches Tattoo (dtv premium) - Elena Gorokhova Like Elena Gorokhova's first part of her memoir about growing up in the USSR and emigrating to the "class enemy" in the 1980s, the second part was also incredibly interesting to read and moved me to tears in the end. The only thing I could not really get into was her really complicated and rather weird relationship with her introverted and non-conformist daughter, and Elena's apparent lack of power or self confidence to tackle the issues she has with both generations of women in her family - her mother and her daughter. Nevertheless I love both of her memoirs!
